Getting ahead in your personal finances means generating an income that allows you to cover your needs, save, and grow. What makes this easier? Loving your job.
Someone who enjoys their work has an advantage over those who work because they need a paycheck and work only for the weekends.
Having a career that "fits" your interests and skills typically relates to income. So, although your maybe in well-paying job now, you may not be satisfied with the position you are currently in.
This means you maybe shortchanging yourself.
But it does not mean you are stuck.
I was in that position once. I was working in well-paying job but was unsatisfied with the day to day work. So, I purposely crafted a savings strategy to buy me the opportunity to change careers. This afforded me the opportunity to start my own Firm.
